Principles and purposes
We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the secure operation of the website, the handling of booking requests and communication with our guests. Processing is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Italian data protection law.
Website access and server log data
When the website is accessed, the IP address, date and time, page visited, referrer, browser, operating system and status or error messages may be processed for technical reasons. This data is used for operation, error analysis and security.
Booking requests
If you send a request using the booking form, we process the travel details you provide (arrival, departure, number of guests, preferred room) and your contact details (name, email, optionally telephone and message) in order to review the request and confirm a personal offer to you. A booking request is not a binding booking; a booking only comes into being with our confirmation.
Cookies and consent
Technically necessary cookies and local storage are used for security functions and for your privacy choice. Optional services are only loaded after your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, with effect for the future, via the cookie settings in the footer.
Location and map service
The “Location” section shows our address and links to Google Maps for route planning. Clicking this link takes you away from our website; no map is embedded and no data is transmitted to Google until you actively click the link. When you follow the external link, Google’s privacy policy applies.
Activated third-party services: Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited) for the location map; Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) for reach measurement. External content is only loaded after your consent. In particular, IP address, time, page visited as well as browser and device information may be transmitted to the respective provider. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.
Recipients and processors
Personal data from booking requests may be passed on to carefully selected service providers to the extent necessary for hosting, email delivery or IT security. Appropriate safeguards are used for transfers to countries without an adequate level of data protection.
Your rights
Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you may request access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing of your personal data and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
Retention and deletion
We keep request data only for as long as necessary to handle the booking request, for a subsequent guest relationship or to meet statutory retention obligations. The data is then deleted or anonymised.
Newsletter
If you tick the box for offers by email when you send a booking request, Le due corti Matino will occasionally send you offers and news after your stay to the email address you provided – in the language of your booking. Taking part is voluntary and only starts once we confirm your booking; as proof we store the time of your consent and the related booking. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time – via the unsubscribe link in every email or by sending us a message. After that you will no longer receive the newsletter; your booking data is not affected. The emails are sent via our mail server; opens and clicks are not tracked.
Updates
This privacy policy may be amended if the website, our data processing or the legal situation changes. The version published at any given time applies.
